I am using UNBLEMISH and my breakouts are getting worse. What should I do?
The acne cycle is also influenced by hormones, stress and other physiological and environmental factors, all of which may contribute to flare-ups. If you are new to UNBLEMISH, make sure you follow the ramp up schedule in your Regimen brochure. Having a few more acne breakouts when you begin using UNBLEMISH may be normal. However, if you have been using the products for over a month and you are still experiencing increased breakouts, please contact the RF Connection at rfconnectionau@rodanandfields.com for assistance.

What products can I use during the off times while I ramp up the UNBLEMISH Regimen?
When you first start using the UNBLEMISH Regimen we recommend introducing the Regimen slowly in order to let your skin acclimate. We recommend that you use mild cleansers, moisturisers and sunscreens as you ramp up to using the UNBLEMISH Regimen twice a day. Avoid other products containing acne ingredients such as Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid, Retinoids, Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, such as Glycolic Acid, or any scrubs and mechanical brushes, as they can result in irritation. The SOOTHE Regimen is a good option for your skincare routine.

I'm using UNBLEMISH Regimen and my skin is dry. What should I do?
Slight tightness or mild redness may indicate that your skin is adjusting to the ingredients in the skincare Regimen. This is a common occurrence and may last up to two weeks. If you experience dryness while using the UNBLEMISH Regimen, layer a moisturiser over UNBLEMISH Dual Intensive Acne Treatment, such as R+F Active Hydration Serum or SOOTHE Moisturizing Rescue Cream.

How long should I use UNBLEMISH Regimen?
You can use this skincare Regimen for as long as needed, but just because your skin is clear doesn't mean it's time to stop. Continuous use of the Regimen will help keep your skin clear. Once your skin has been acne-free for an extended period of time, you may consider shifting to once-a-day use of the UNBLEMISH Regimen and start introducing our REDEFINE Regimen or REVERSE Regimen into your daily routine.

Can UNBLEMISH Regimen be used on my body?
You may use the UNBLEMISH Regimen to address body acne as well. Ramp up as directed to twice a day as needed to control acne breakouts on the body. When using the UNBLEMISH Regimen on the body, apply a lightweight moisturiser if skin feels dry. Be aware that Benzoyl Peroxide can bleach fabrics, so wear white clothing and use white linens and towels.

I am allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide. Can I use UNBLEMISH Regimen?
You can still benefit from the UNBLEMISH Regimen by replacing UNBLEMISH Dual Intensive Acne Treatment (Step 3) with SOOTHE Sensitive Skin Treatment. This product features RFp3 Peptide Technology that works at the skin's surface to neutralise triggers and pacify skin. It's clinically tested to help reduce the visible signs of redness common in acne-prone skin.

Where can I use the Pore Cleansing MD System?
You can use the Pore Cleansing Tip in the T-zone ONLY (forehead, nose and chin), always starting with the lowest suction level. This area is often oilier than the rest of the face and prone to clogged pores, blackheads and breakouts. You can use the blackhead removal tip wherever a blackhead pops up. The chest, shoulders and back are also prone to clogged pores and blackheads so you can use both tips in these areas as well.

Can I use the Pore Cleansing MD Tool on acne pimples?
No, you should use the Pore Cleansing MD Tool on clogged pores and blackheads only. We do not recommend using over acne pimples or cystic acne to avoid increased inflammation and potential for scarring. You should use acne products such as Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid and Sulfur to address mild-to-moderate acne. We recommend the UNBLEMISH Regimen for adult acne and visible signs of ageing or SPOTLESS Regimen for teen and young adult acne.

My skin is sensitive, but I am concerned with clogged pores and blackheads. Can I use the Pore Cleansing MD System?
The Pore Cleansing MD Tool is not recommended for use on sensitive skin. Sensitive skin, by definition, has a compromised barrier; therefore, we do not advise that you apply suction or pressure to areas of sensitivity to avoid skin damage.

Pore Cleansing MD System is also NOT for skin that is thin, fragile, or prone to redness, excess dryness or bruising. And do not use on cystic acne or dilated capillaries. As always, if you have ANY reservations or medical questions about using this product, be sure to ask your doctor first.

How often should I use the Pore Cleansing MD System?
We recommend using the Pore Cleansing MD System once weekly at night using the Pore Cleansing Tip as directed. You can use the Blackhead Removal Tip as needed, whenever a stubborn blackhead pops up.

Can I use the Pore Cleansing MD System in the morning?
We recommend you use the Pore Cleansing MD System in the evening to allow any residual redness or minor bruising to dissipate by the morning. In the morning, always use sunscreen because removing excess dead skin cells may increase photo-sensitivity. Also, sun exposure can worsen the appearance of pores.

Can I use the Pore Cleansing MD System with other products?
We always recommend following the Pore Cleansing MD System with your night-time Regimen routine beginning with Step 1. You can also use the Pore Cleansing MD Tool with the AMP MD Derma-Roller and our Face Masks, but don’t use them on the same night.

Can you share the Pore Cleansing MD Tool with someone else? The Pore Cleansing MD Tool is designed to be shared with friends and family because of its hygienic, single-use disposable tips. Always make sure to use a new, clean tip for each person. This helps prevent bacteria from spreading.
